President of Mansoura University was on an inspection tour to follow up on the new academic year in the faculties of engineering, commerce, and law

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University went on an inspection tour to monitor the progress of the educational process for the new academic year 2023/2024 in the faculties of engineering, commerce, and law, to follow up the regularity of study and lectures in auditoriums, study halls and laboratories.

During the tour, the President of the University congratulated the faculty members, students of the various teams, and employees on the occasion of the celebration of Prophet Mohammed’s birthday and the celebration of the golden jubilee of the victories of October 1973, wishing all its employees success and prosperity during the new academic year. He added that the state pays great attention to youth and has organized the “Story of Homeland” conference, in the presence of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi - President of the Republic, to review the most important achievements of the Egyptian state in various fields.

His Excellency the President pays great attention to education, especially with the great progress that the higher education system is witnessing in Egypt, by supporting existing universities and expanding to establish new technological and national universities, as well as concluding partnerships to provide scholarships for our students and financing programs, all of which aim to improve the quality of education.

During the tour at the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and the faculty deputies welcomed the University President, who inspected the auditoriums, teaching halls, and laboratories, and checked the presence of faculty members and students and the regularity of lectures. He welcomed the new students and congratulated them on the new academic year.

At the Faculty of Commerce, he was received by Prof. Tarek Ghalwsh, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, where he toured the regularity of study in the classrooms and virtual laboratories. He inspected the various artistic, cultural, sports, and mobile student activities. He also surveyed the students’ opinions about studying at the university, and called on the students to follow up on the achievements that has been achieved over 10 years in various sectors that were presented at the “Story of Homeland” Conference.

During his tour of the Faculty of Law, the University President was received by Prof. Walid El-Shenawy, Dean of the faculty, and the Faculty Vice Deans. He witnessed a meeting with the students of the first year, he said that the beginning of the academic year remains in the memory of every student. He referred to the university’s strategic plan, which is consistent with Egypt’s Vision 2030, to work on qualifying students, refining their cognitive skills, and providing them with training experiences to compete in the local and international labor market. He added that Mansoura University has made great strides in the digitization process and ranked first among Egyptian universities in digital transformation. He pointed out that the Faculty of Law received the award for the best faculty out of 10 faculties in the Excellence Competition, and the two legal studies programs in English and French at the Faculty of Law received accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education as the first two programs to be accredited at the level of law faculties in Egyptian universities. The faculty is distinguished by its digital library and moot court to train students. He concluded his speech by urging the students to work hard and acquire knowledge, wishing all students success during the new academic year.
